Does your company have a Net Zero Target?
It’s clear that more and more companies are setting Net Zero targets. Here are 4 great reasons why, in my view, every company should be doing this asap:
1️⃣ To preserve ecosystems and life as we know it, businesses need to reduce their carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 (and achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050)
2️⃣ The largest companies are already required to disclose some of their emissions. Further legislation extending to all businesses will be in the pipeline. Setting a net zero strategy now will give your business more time to meet targets.
3️⃣ Customers want to make more sustainable purchases. Depending on the report you read, between 65-80% of people say they want to buy from sustainable businesses.
4️⃣ Carbon emissions per customer can be a great metric to see how efficient your business is.

Whereas Nett Zero is improbable in the near future, we can each adapt best practices towards achieving the “Paris Agreement ” 1.5 degree C and SDG’s target . Through reducing wastage , using light luggage /soft cases . sharing transportation, booking into accommodation that have energy saving lighting ie. solar, harvest water, zero plastic,ecosafe sunscreens and community support initiatives
