Hi @ruth-nattabi , this is a very broad question and unfortunately doesn’t have one correct answer. Developing low-season travel experiences is different for every company, destination and also depends on how you market them.
First of all, I’d advise to focus on the opportunities low-season has to offer. So don’t think about how to avoid losses, but think about how you can attract travellers in low-season to actually make more profit!
As I mentioned in our article “How to develop low-season travel experiences”, low-season experiences cannot be exact replicas of high-season experiences. Key is that you find something unique about your low season. This helps you design travel experiences that are attractive and will attract the right travellers.
Follow the five steps as mentioned in our article to get started:
- Define your seasonal assets
- Feature the positives of each season
- Consider your target group
- Create low season packages
- Promote benefits of low season visits
