Most travel businesses know sustainability matters. Few get past a policy nobody reads. We train your staff, brief your guides, and build practices that actually shape how the business runs.
Free first conversation, no pressure.
Every business needs something different, and most move between levels as their needs change.
We shape the strategy and action plan together, in writing, then stay on call for questions as your team puts it into practice.
We stay close while your team puts the plan into practice: sparring sessions, feedback rounds, and hands-on guidance whenever you need it.
We implement it ourselves, from strategy to delivery, with regular check-ins so you always know exactly where things stand and what's next.

You know exactly where you stand today and what to prioritise first, so you stop guessing what comes next.
You get an approach that's already been well tested in the field, not a theory that still needs proving.
Sustainability stops costing time and sets you apart: something the business runs on, not a task on a list.

However hands-on you want us to be, here's what that looks like in four situations we see often.
We rethink your products with you: which suppliers and communities to work with, and how to design experiences travellers remember. You walk away with:
We work with your staff, guides and policies so sustainability becomes part of how decisions get made day to day. You walk away with:

We start with an honest assessment of where your business stands today, then build a roadmap you can actually follow. You walk away with:

Our collaboration with Evaneos spans several years and projects. We developed in-house sustainability training. And most recently worked on Indonesia360, a year-long project with their local agents to combat overtourism, cut carbon, and bring more community activities into the itineraries.

Together with CBI, we worked to make Ugandan tour operators more sustainable and successful. We guided around 70 local tour operators through hands-on coaching that combined sustainable business practices with marketing and communication, ran workshops, and tracked their progress over 6 months.

Over several years, Anne has guided destinations across the Netherlands towards Green Destinations certification, working with them individually and in structured groups to get every criterion in order. She's also trained Green Destinations auditors on the ground in Kenya, passing on the same standards she applies herself.

"We didn't want sustainability to stay a niche for do-gooders. We wanted it to be what sets any travel business apart."
Anne spent years working with hundreds of travel businesses on sustainability certification, and kept hearing the same question: what's in it for me? Rik, with a decade in digital marketing, believed sustainability could set any business apart.
Together they founded Good Tourism Institute: turning sustainable practices into a real business advantage.
